Around the Region: E-ZPass On At Queens Midtown and Brooklyn-Battery Tunnels
EZ Pass toll reading technology began operating at the Queens-Midtown and Brooklyn-Battery Tunnels this month. The MTA now has more than 300,000 E-ZPass customers. The MTA is a member of the "E-ZPass Interagency Group," comprising eight toll authorities in NY, NJ, and Pennsylvania working together to bring a compatible electronic toll collection system to the region. The group also includes the Delaware River Port Authority, Port Authority of NY and NJ, NYS Thruway Authority, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Highway Authority, South Jersey Transportation Authority, and the PA Turnpike Commission.
