Around the Region: Sheridan/Bruckner Interchange Study
New York State DOT is beginning to study an upgrade of the interchange between the Bruckner and Sheridan Expressways in the Bronx. The upgrade's goals would be to reduce crashes, ease traffic flow and develop direct access to the highways from the Hunts Point Peninsula and Hunts Point Market area. The DOT says absence of the latter creates unwanted truck traffic in residential parts of the peninsula.
