Four City Forum Regional Plan Association and the Council on Transportation
will present a special policy-maker breakfast on Wednesday, January 20.
The event will feature a presentation by the Institute for Public Administration
on the Four World City Transport Study it released in November.
The study is a three-year comparison of transportation systems in Tokyo,
London, Paris, and New York City. It points to a number of ways our region
can improve its transportation system and land use policies (see MTR #197).
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring leading
public and private sector officials from our region. Event organizers will
also provide an update on an emerging coalition effort to promote renewal
of New York State's multi-year transportation capital programs, which expire
at the end of 1999.
