Route 92 Public Comment Period Begins

The Army Corps of Engineers commenced a 6-week comment period Friday on the NJ Turnpike's proposal to build Route 92 across undeveloped wetlands.

Comments can be written and mailed in, or voiced at a public hearing on March 29 at the Princeton Marriott Hotel on Route 1 in Plainsboro. For info on the hearing, contact James Haggerty at 212-264-6731 or e-mail JamesWHaggerty@usace.army.mil

Route 92 would connect the NJ Turnpike and Rt.1 in Middlesex County. The US EPA has voiced strong objections to the project (see MTRs #190, 192, 193). Written comments should be received by the Army Corps by 5pm on April 8.
