Around the Region - CB #4 Wants Musical
Intersections
Columbus Circle, with vehicles merging from three busy streets,
is one of the most difficult to cross intersections in NYC. In February,
Manhattan's Community Board #4 asked the city to install audible traffic
signals as part of its plan to rebuild the Circle. NYC DOT has been receptive
to the idea. It plans to create a true circle at the intersection by suspending
diagonal traffic. NY Observer
