Around the Region: Stamford Begins Work on Pedestrian Walkway

Stamford Connecticut began work on a pedestrian link between the city's train station and downtown area. The planned 8,200-square-foot enclosed walkway will lead pedestrians from the train station to North State Street, and should be completed by the end of the year. Now, commuters are forced to walk under the highway and through parking lots on their way downtown. The pedestrian walkway is part of a $95 million Stamford Train Station Enhancement Program.
