NJ Wants Development At Train Stations
In an attempt to bring back the days when train stations were
economic and residential hubs, New Jersey's Transit Village program, introduced
last month, is helping five NJ towns rebuild the land around their train
stations. The first five communities selected for the program - South
Amboy, South Orange, Morristown, Pleasantville, and Rutherford - will be
able to tap state agencies for expertise, technical assistance, and financial
assistance as they go about rebuilding and creating town centers around
the stations. Trenton Times
