Around the Region


NJ Transit's long-delayed Montclair Connection took a giant step last week when NJ Transit awarded the project's first construction contract. The connection, expected to serve 5,000 riders daily, will give Passaic County residents better access to Manhattan by routing Boonton Line trains onto the Montclair Branch of the Morris & Essex Line. The final phase of construction will go to bid this summer. Record
