Around the Region

Peter Pan Bus Lines recently received an award from the Connecticut Bicycle Coalition and the League of American Bicyclists for convincing Greyhound Bus Lines to adopt Peter Pan's "stow it for free" policy regarding bicycles. The two companies' recent merger left cycling advocates worried that Greyhound's policy requiring bicycling customers to take apart their cycles, pack them in boxes, and pay a hefty additional fee to stow their bikes in the luggage compartment would prevail. The new policy effects all Peter Pan and Greyhound buses operating along the East Coast.
