Warsh, a former state legislator, has long been known as a transit advocate. As a member of the NJ Assembly Transportation Committee, he helped launch the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail project, championed new infrastructure investments in regional rail, and worked to allow bicycles on NJ Transit.
Acting Executive Director Stanley Rosenblum has the option of remaining with the agency as Deputy Executive Director.
NJ Transit's Board of Directors will vote on the appointment at its
board meeting on July 14th.
