Around the Region: Williamsburg Bridge Subway Project Finished Early
On Wednesday the MTA opened the newly reconstructed J, M and Z lines over the Williamsburg Bridge a month early. 90,000 straphangers use the subway daily to commute between Brooklyn and Manhattan. The work included replacing the tracks, signals and power supply. Some finishing work - including painting the bridge and installing signs will disrupt service on weekends. Newsday
