Subway Ads Uncensored
Today the MTA notified the U.S. District Court and Straphanger's Campaign
and RPA officials that it would end its objections to one of two
ads urging investment in NYC transit. Scheduled to run on 2,280 subway
cars beginning April 1rst, the ads will be seen by hundreds of thousands
of riders at the same time that budget decisions critical to the future
growth of the NYC transit system are made in Albany. The ads direct riders
to www.bettertransit.org
where they can send pro-transit investment letters to Governor Pataki
and leaders in the Senate and Assembly.
