Citizen members of the Hub Council unanimously endorsed the plan for five workshops in communities in the Hub area, a full day workshop on transportation issues and a concluding five day "charrette" to more fully hash out possibilities and plans.

Nassau County has federal funding in the pipeline to conduct a Nassau Hub "major investment study," though it has been unclear what that study would look at. At this point, it makes sense for the county to wait until it receives the input and proposals from the visioning process before proceeding with the official study.
