Issue 436 November 11, 2003
After 10 highly successful years at our helm, Janine Bauer has stepped down as executive director. Janine remains with the Campaign as its general counsel, focusing on legal and legislative issues. The Campaign’s board has selected Jon Orcutt, the Campaign’s associate director since 1994, as Janine’s successor. Kate Slevin, previously the Campaign spokesperson, is our new associate director. We have hired Teresa Toro to take Kate’s place as communications coordinator. Nancy Christensen has joined the staff as administrative manager. Danielle Burger and Jennifer Siegel continue as staff planner and NJ coordinator, respectively. The Campaign has also added two distinguished members to its board of directors ― Constantine Eristoff of Lacher and Lovell-Taylor, a long-time New York environmental leader, both in and out of government, and Michael Oppenheimer of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, one of the nation’s leading authorities on climate change. |
