Better Subways Underscore Need for Solid MTA Investment Plan

The Straphangers Campaign annual report on the state of the NYC indicates that subways are in better condition than ever - data from 2003 suggests that, overall, the cars break down less often, and are less crowded, cleaner, and had better announcements than in 2002. 

 

Route 92 on the Ropes

Joining a growing chorus of criticism, the Star-Ledger unequivocally argued against building the Rt. 92 highway project in an editorial published last week.

 

CT's Only New Transit Project Delayed Again

Completion of the Hartford-New Britain busway has been delayed until 2009, according to a recent newsletter by All Aboard!, a Hartford transit advocacy group.
