Jets West Side Transit Estimate is Wishful
No sports venue in New York City sees a mass transit
travel rate close to that New York City officials say
will occur at the proposed West Side Jets Stadium. No
downtown stadium anywhere else in the United States does
either, calling city estimates that 68% of Jets patrons
will use mass transit to reach the new West Side stadium
into question.

Court to DOT: Release Intersection Info
On July 1, a New York appellate court sided with Newsday
in its fight to make public the locations of the most

on New York streets.
Residents Block Better Train Service in NJ
Residents along the NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley

and during the middle of weekdays, so that they can take
full advantage of the new Secaucus Transfer, which gives
them a quick transfer to Penn Station. Most service now
runs during peak morning and evening weekday hours.

US Transport Funding Bill - Gridlocked?
On June 24 the U.S. Congress passed the 4th extension
of the 1998 TEA-21 transportation spending law. TEA-21
originally expired last September, but congressional
transportation leaders have faced the big problems of
finding more money, dividing it to make most of the 50
states happy and negotiating policy changes both parties
can live with.
